Railway Signalling and Operations FAQ: NORAC Form D

Railway Signalling and Operations

NORAC Form D

Notes

This form is a good example of the sorts of information frequently transmitted to trains. NORAC consolidated many of the old train order types (see "PRR Book of Rules" under "Full text of rulebooks on the Web" in the FAQ for examples) into one form. Engineers or conductors are instructed to fill out only certain line numbers on the NORAC form when the information is transmitted.

I have tried to do the best HTML I can; this form is not easy to reproduce in HTML. For explanations of several items, see the footnotes at the bottom of this page.
