Notes

The RF&P signals are shown with no staggering and with no signal faces. In fact, the colored-in circles touch. Number plates and flashing are shown.

High and dwarf signal aspects are shown in a table structure, very similarly to the style used here. Cab signal aspects are shown below the high/dwarf signal boxes and are preceded by the text "In TC territory cab signal will display <aspect name>". This is omitted here to save space. Cab signal aspect names are: Clear, green; Approach Medium, yellow over green; Approach, yellow; Restricting, red. Where the cab signal aspect is not identical to the wayside signal aspect, the phrase "and wayside signal indication will govern" is added.

Not exceeding 45 MPH within interlocking limits, then proceed.

NOTE: Trains with cab signals not in operative condition, or not equipped with cab signals, must not exceed 45 MPH to next signal or block marker, then proceed.

282 y/g/r y/g y/g/# y/g Approach Medium

Proceed approaching next signal at not exceeding 25 MPH. Train exceeding 45 MPH must at once reduce to 45 MPH.

283 r/g/r r/g r Medium Clear

Not exceeding 25 MPH within interlocking limits, then proceed.

Proceed not exceeding 25 MPH preparing to stop at the next signal.

Note exceeding 15 MPH within interlocking limits, then proceed.

NOTE: Trains with cab signals not in operative condition, or not equipped with cab signals, must not exceed 15 MPH to next signal or block marker, then proceed.

Proceed at Restricted Speed until rear of train passes next governing signal.

NOTE: Trains with cab signals not in operative condition, or not equipped with cab signals, must regard Restricted Proceed signal as a STOP signal.

297 Adjacent or Bracketed Signals

Right hand signal governs right hand track and left hand signal governs left hand track.

298 Doll Arm

A track intervenes between the signal and the track governed by the signal. When more than one track intervenes, the number of doll arms is correspondingly increased.
