Empty yard: 1365 cars, 25 tracks
Preference and advance tracks: 1502 cars, 18 tracks
TOTALS: 4471 cars, 72 tracks

Eastward Yard
Receiving yard: 1791 cars, 25 tracks
Classification yard: 2427 cars, 32 tracks
Advance yard: 578 cars, 7 tracks
TOTALS: 4796 cars, 64 tracks

Total capacity all other tracks and sidings
(excluding 32.62 miles Altoona Works industrial sidings):
7698 cars

Hollidaysburg & Petersburg Branch; New Portage Secondary, etc.

H&P Branch proceeds westward from PETE interlocking on the Harrisburg to Altoona main. PETE is controlled by HUNT (? a Conrail change) to WYE. From WYE westward, around the Mule Shoe Curve, to SF interlocking this was called the New Portage Branch. ??? Branch (present-day Cove Secondary) starts at ALTO and proceeds (geographically) south.
