This publication differs from the more familiar C.T. 290 apparently in having only A.C. information, no mention of third rail. Also, possibly due to wartime publication date, it contains no pictures of catenary parts. Left of the date is the notation "40M", presumably indicating 40,000 printed copies. The C.T. number was taken by Conrail for Movement Permit Form D, the modern version of the train order.

  • One would assume that 1918, 1923, and 1945 editions were printed, along with the CT 1000 C, E, W, etc. Can anyone confirm?
  • 1900 edition title page indicates that it supersedes the 1899 edition.
  • (*) Owned by Youngwood Railroad and Historical Museum, Youngwood, Pa.
  • 1923 CT1000 states that it supersedes the 1918 and the 1913 PL506.
  • 1899 or possibly an earlier version supersedes form C.R. [Car Reporting] 76.
